Responsibilities

As a member of the PubNub "Core" team, you'll:

  • Build enhancements to our platform that help prepare us for trillions of monthly transactions
  • Design migration strategies that provide zero downtime for users
  • Help build the architecture that meets the needs of our product roadmap beyond our core current feature set
  • Enhance our load testing methodologies to generate "world-of-warcraft" sized load on our system
  • Explore various hardware & software strategies for milking the best performance out of various system configurations.

Qualifications

Great candidates will have:

  • 5+ years of experience developing software on core technology frameworks in a high scale environment
  • Expertise with C, Javascript, Python, Erlang, and other programming languages
  • Real-time systems background, knowledge/experience with Node JS, Tornado, and other similar servers.

As PubNub's Online Strategy Manager, you'll:

Linux and Network Systems Guru

We're PubNub, the real-time engine in the cloud that developers use to build massively multi-player games and apps. We are looking for an experienced, smart Linux/Network Systems guru to configure, manage, scale, and operate the largest real-time massively multiuser system ever conceived.

The Linux and Network Systems Guru at PubNub will own the configuration and operations of our real-time cloud platform. This role requires deep experience with the latest scalable architectures, and a real love for automation and massive-sized deployments. Candidates should be familiar with configuration and scaling of heavy network bandwidth systems, the ins and out of epoll-based architectures, the tradeoffs with different types of load balancing, and deep experience with tools for monitoring and auto-scaling cloud-hosted systems. Experience with Amazon's various cloud services, including EC2, S3, EBS, CloudFront, and other services is also important. Candidates should also be familiar with approaches for dealing efficiently with massive amount of logging data, managing NoSQL data stores, and configuring large Hadoop clusters.

Responsibilities

As our Linux and Network Systems Guru, you will:

  • Collaborate with the development team on scalable architectures and server configurations
  • Own the operations of production deployments
  • Drive high system load tests across all components of the PubNub Infrastructure

The Customer Relationship Manager at PubNub is responsible for the success of our prospective and existing customers. This role requires a deep understanding of PubNub's features and functionality, pricing, and how customers use the product. The role requires exceptional communication skills, and the drive to go "above and beyond" what customers expect to ensure their success. The Customer Relationship Manager ensures that customer questions are addressed rapidly and completely, leveraging internal resources where necessary to get the right answer.

Responsibilities

As our Customer Relationship Manager, you will:

  • Ensure prospective and existing customers get immediate responses to questions & issues
  • Drive pro-active outreach to customers to ensure their experience continues to be smooth
  • Be the customer's voice within the PubNub organization, lobbying for their needs
