PubNub has two tools for monitoring your app. PubNub Insights covers app usage, and Operational Dashboards cover API performance.

PubNub Insights
PubNub Insights gives you pre-built dashboards based on your app's PubNub data. The dashboards cover messages, active users, channel activity, and user behavior. You access Insights through the Admin Portal. It needs no separate integration.
Starter and Pro plans include Insights Premium, which adds AI analysis of your dashboards and API access to your metrics. Existing Pro contracts that use Insights Standard move to Premium at their next renewal. See PubNub Insights availability for the dashboards and data range each tier includes.

Operational Dashboards
Operational Dashboards show API-level performance data for your subscribe key: total request counts, client and server error rates, regional distribution, Functions executions, and push notification delivery. PubNub builds each dashboard on request and sends you a link.
Operational Dashboards are available on the Platinum and Enterprise support plans. The Operational Dashboards raw metrics export is available on the Enterprise support plan. The export lets you route the same metrics into Datadog or New Relic.

Real-time decision-making
To act on your app's data in real time, see Illuminate in the Logic section. Illuminate lets you define metrics from published messages, set conditions, and trigger automated actions when those conditions are met.
