SOC 2 Type II

December 4, 2017 – PubNub, the company behind the world’s leading real-time Data Stream Network (DSN), today announced that it has successfully completed the Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II audit, for privacy, confidentiality, security and availability, conducted by Frank, Rimerman + Co. LLP. This achievement provides customers with even more confidence in how PubNub manages real-time data across the globe.
As companies increasingly use outside vendors to perform activities that are core to their business operations and strategy, there is a need for more trust and transparency into cloud software providers’ operations, processes and results. PubNub received its SOC 2, Type II certification from the AICPA for meeting and adhering to the security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy standards established by its Service Organization Controls (SOC). By communicating the results of this audit, customers can be assured of their reliance on PubNub’s real-time infrastructure.
TLS support for MQTT

We added support for securing your connections from MQTT devices to the PubNub network by adding support for TLS connections. This runs on the standard port 8883 used for secure MQTT.
