# Partner Portal

The Partner Portal is part of the Admin Portal. It lets PubNub partners create customer entries (end customers) and assign PubNub keysets. This speeds setup and control. Partners can also create [Illuminate](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/illuminate/basics) resources for end customers on assigned keysets.

End customers use partner‑managed dashboards. They can use [PubNub Illuminate](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/illuminate/basics) for specific PubNub apps and keysets in two ways:

* A partner creates Illuminate resources ([Business Objects](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/illuminate/business-objects/create-business-object#illuminate-for-pubnub-partners), [Decisions](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/illuminate/decisions/create-decision#illuminate-for-pubnub-partners), [Dashboards](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/illuminate/dashboards/create-dashboards-and-charts#illuminate-for-pubnub-partners)) in the Admin Portal for the end customer.
* An end customer [embeds the Illuminate UI](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/illuminate/embed-illuminate-ui) in an external admin dashboard and creates Illuminate objects for the apps and keysets assigned by the partner.

In the Admin Portal, open **Partner Portal** from the left navigation to manage customers and apps.

### Customers

Create end customers in the Admin Portal. Assign PubNub apps and keysets to control access. Customer creation, updates, and keyset assignments are recorded in the [Audit Log](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/portal/audit-log).

To set this up, follow these steps:

1. Create an entry for your end customer. Assign a unique name. Add the end customer’s external ID to link the Admin Portal and your dashboard.
2. Assign a PubNub app to the end customer.
3. Assign a PubNub keyset to the end customer. Assignment and management rulesYou can assign one end customer to many apps and keysets. Each keyset is assigned to one end customer. You can't delete an end customer in the Admin Portal. To remove access, disable that customer’s keysets.

### App Management

Use App Management to create PubNub apps for end customers. Manage them in one place.

You can also see which end customers each app is assigned to.

### Embed

After you grant access, end customers can [embed the Illuminate UI](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/illuminate/embed-illuminate-ui) in their admin dashboard and create Illuminate objects for assigned apps and keysets.

## Terms in this document

* **End Customer** - A customer of a PubNub partner. End customers do not have direct access to the Admin Portal. Instead, they interact with PubNub products—such as Illuminate—through the partner’s portal, where PubNub services are embedded. They can create PubNub objects only within this partner-provided environment.
* **Partner** - A PubNub customer who resells PubNub products, such as Illuminate, to their own customers. Partners have access to the Admin Portal, enabling them to create and manage PubNub objects for themselves or on behalf of their end customers.
