APNs1 Migration

2021-03

Apple has announced that beginning March 31st, 2021 they are discontinuing support for the binary APl that we use to currently power our APNs1 push notifications. Instead, Apple has rolled out a more reliable, compliant HTTP/2 API to power push notifications to Apple devices.

With this release, PubNub is automatically migrating existing APNs1 customers over to our new APNs2 push notifications to comply with Apple’s announcement. There is no action needed from customers to support this migration.

Files API

2020-09

PubNub’s product team is happy to announce the release of “Files”, to upload and share files (images, videos etc.) with anyone in your app. Before this release, our customers had to build their own integration with Amazon S3 or other cloud hosting services to share files. Now, developers get this feature out-of-the-box so they can ship their product faster to market.
