# Channel Monitor

After [building your chat app](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/chat/chat-sdk/build/configuration), manage it using [Channel Monitor](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/bizops-workspace/channel-monitor#channels).

Channel Monitor is a UI tool in the [Admin Portal](https://admin.pubnub.com/), part of the [BizOps Workspace](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/bizops-workspace/basics). Select channels to track live and historical conversations, and perform [user](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/chat/chat-sdk/build/features/users/moderation) and [message](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/chat/chat-sdk/build/features/messages/moderation) moderation.

Admin capabilities:

* [Moderate users](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/bizops-workspace/channel-monitor#users) - watch, mute, or ban users
* [Moderate messages](https://www.pubnub.com/docs/bizops-workspace/channel-monitor#messages) - edit and delete messages of other users or publish your own messages as a moderator
